Hello, my name is Francesco and I live in Italy.
I'm collecting stamps, mainly used ones, for more than 35 years.
In the past, in order to exchange my duplicate stamps with other stamp-collectors,
I have always preferred to use the method of 1 for 1 swap,
being able as such to find many stamps missing from my collection.
Now, I have decided to change method,
moving on to a system based on Want-list / Have-list and catalogue value.
The first question I asked myself was: which catalogue should I use?
It may seem like a banal question, but I think that using a catalogue such as Scott,
for example, would mean giving up on the chance of being able to swap with collectors
who use other catalogues (for example, Michel, Stanley Gibbons, Yvert et Tellier,
Facit etc.).
And then, even if one uses the same catalogue there is also the naturally justified
problem that different editions have different quotations for the same stamp.
To overcome all of these problems, I though of building this web site and inserting
my Want-list/Have-list as well as the description of each stamp present,
including the numbering from the four most used catalogues in the whole world
(Scott, Michel, Stanley Gibbons e Yvert et Tellier)(***).
As far as the quotations are concerned, I decided to take them from the Michel
catalogue (I use
michel datenbank).
At this time only the Have-lists/Want-lists of stamps from the following
countries are present: Australia, AAT, Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain,
Netherlands, Norway, Italy and Switzerland.
I intend to add, over the next few months,
the lists for Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Iceland,
New Zealand, Canada, United States and few others countries.
For information on how to insert an "order" visit the "How To" page.
For any questions send me an
Email.
I would like to highlight that this is a purely personal and non-commercial
Web Site and intended for the purpose of trading my duplicate stamps for others
stamp that I need.
